How You Can Start Preparing For Spring Allergies Now (Video)

Do you have spring allergies? For some people, starting treatment three months before the season will offer longer-term relief.

Newer, under-the-tongue allergy tablets can help protect your body in advance of the season — especially if you only have a grass allergy or have a strong allergy to grass with other less troublesome spring allergies.

These medications, known as sublingual oral immunotherapy tablets, help the immune system build a tolerance to certain allergens. This reduces allergy symptoms and also reduces your need for other medications, such as antihistamines, to treat symptoms.

Watch this video as David Lang, MD, Director of the Department of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Cleveland Clinic, explains more about treating spring allergies early.
